When to read your emails

In different books and blog articles you can read a suggestion like "don't check your email all the time - do it 2-3 times a day and answer all emails as a bunch".

Every time I read this suggestion, it seems logical to me. But I personally don't follow it yet.

Now today I got an email with a cool signature:

Usually I check my emails at 9am, 1pm and 4.30pm.
For urgent matters please call [phone number].

That guy seems to follow that suggestion - that's cool!
