One difference between blogs and newsletters is the ability to get direct feedback to each topic. Every user can provide his opinion and starting with that, a discussion may arise.

This blog was very small at it's beginning (of course). And it didn't grow much in the time of it's existence. Some comments have been posted, most of them by persons I personally know. But also other persons wrote comments.

After a few weeks of this blog's life, the first comment spam hit it. Since then, the amount of fake comments has arised from 1 per week to 3-6 a day. That and the missing time on my side were the reasons to completely disable the commenting feature. Sad, but true.

As far as I know there's no working solution to stop the problem with automatic comments and spammed guestbooks. Of course there is the possibility to add a captcha to ve_guestbook - but I don't want to edit that extension by hand. So I will wait until someone else find's some time to provide a solution.

May be this is the begin of the end for this blog - I don't know it at the moment. We'll see. If you have comments to this or other posts on this blog, just contact me via email.
