My journey to the T3CON06
My journey to Karlsruhe started in the early morning at aroung 06:40. I took the motorway to Stuttgart where I met a good friend for lunch. As he works at the MTC, we directly met there. What a crowd - 9'000 employees just in the engineering/development department. And most of them wanted to eat at the canteen at the same time :-)
At around 14:00 I left Sindelfingen and headed up to the motorway to Karlsruhe. First there was a long construction site that caused some traffic jam. And after that, an accident (with some damaged cars on the left lane) brought 3km of traffic jam.
Short after 15:00 I arrived at the Queens Hotel in Karlsruhe and directly met some persons I already knew, like Gina Steiner and Christian Jul Jensen. We've got a room on the 11th floor (funny, the elevator goes up to the 10th floor). I'll share the room with Luc de Louw.
Actually I'm sitting in the 11th floor and typing some lines and relax before the "hard evening action" starts :-) Luc just called me: He was on the way to Karlsruhe, already arrived in Schaffhausen, but then his car died. Now he's waiting for the repairing service to arrive - and hopefully he'll be able to arrive tonight.
Ok, enough about travelling :-)
What's new here? The Queens hotel got renovated, new reception desk, new lounge area. Looks fine. I didn't see anything else of the city so far. So I decided to walk to the main station in a few minutes to pick up Oliver Klee that arrives by train - and doesn't know where the hotel is.
