For more than two years, I had my blog running on TYPO3, my favorite CMS. But it never seemed to be the perfect solution for blogging imho. Well, TYPO3 is still my choice number one as a CMS. But I chose to switch to WordPress for my personal blog. This primarily for the following reasons:
- I wanted to use the right tool for the right job: TYPO3 for whole websites, WordPress for the blog.
- I’ll use an offline editor to prepare my posts. WordPress allows me to publish them at a click. Timtab in TYPO3 has such an interface, too – but it didn’t work when I tested it.
- Some of the broken/not-maintained-anymore features could have been fixed – but I’m lacking the time to invest it there.
- And I wanted to try out a new system like WordPress that I’ve never used before.
Now I’m looking forward to many posts and even more comments
Welcome to my new blog!
